When Should I Seek Help?
Motivation and readiness for making effective use of counseling
varies from one individual to another.
Many people seek help from counseling when, despite a sincere desire and frequent efforts to change, they feel trapped in anxiety, depression, unsatisfactory relationships, or persistent problems with children or adolescents.
Some come in the midst of crisis such as a marital conflict or family stress.
Others make periodic use of counseling when they go through the various transition stages of individual or family life.
Some make use of counseling out of the desire for personal development.
