To Our Members and Friends of Grace Community CRC:

From the outset of our suspending meetings and in-person worship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our aim as a church has been to ensure the safety of our congregation and to abide by local, state, and federal guidelines. In the interest of these, Grace Community CRC will continue to suspend in-person worship and meetings until such time as we are assured by all three levels of governance that it is safe for us to resume in-person worship. We pray that day will come soon, and rest assured we are taking every precaution and preventative measure in preparation for that day, but for now we will remain physically apart.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support in these difficult times.

The Worship Service videos will be available on Sundays and future messages from the Pastor will be posted as they are available. A detailed copy of the service with all the readings, sermon outline (when available) and words to songs will be posted on our 'Weekly Services' page on this site. Click on this link: Self Guided Meditations and a file will open that includes a self-guided meditation from Pastor Michael. Additional meditations will be posted as they become available. Please feel free to share these links/pages with others. You may also request an audio CD of the service that can be mailed to you. To get an audio CD contact the Grace Church office by calling 708-636-2848 and leave a voicemail message.

Even though we aren’t meeting for activities and worship services, church expenses continue, so we ask you to prayerfully consider giving as best you can for our shared ministries, either through online giving on this website or by mailing your gifts to the church.

These are unprecedented times.  We trust that God is with us and that, by his Spirit, Jesus never leaves us nor forsakes us.  But our normal life has been deeply disrupted and we are taking unprecedented precautions. If you have a need at this time, feel free to contact your District Elder or Deacon, or the Church Office. It may be difficult for you to go to the store or you might want someone to check in on you over the phone; as a church we want to lean on each other to help.

God's peace to you in our victorious Lord Jesus.

Michael Kooy

Welcome and Thank You for visiting our website!

Grace Community is more than just a church. At Grace Community we grow together in faith and fellowship as we study the Word, and put into practice what we learn as we help and care for each other and our community.

Our weekly service is on Sunday morning at 10:00am.
(All services and events will be cancelled if there is a Tornado Warning,
or Winter Storm Warning one hour before the activity.

Sunday service time may change due to holidays and/or special services.)

Our service is a casual, contemporary-blended service
that may include music from a praise team, drums, guitars, organ, piano,
or a combination of all of these elements.

In relation to the sermon of the day, we may have an opportunity during the service
to have a discussion or participatory activity.

Childcare (infant thru 2 years old) is available during the service.
Children's Church for ages 3-3rd grade
is also available during the service.
(Children walk out partway through the service to go to Children's Church.)

A Message from the Pastor...Rev. Michael Kooy

"We'd like to welcome you at Grace Community Church!  At Grace Community, we strive to create places of caring community where people can seek God together and be transformed into disciples who make an impact in the world.  I pray that you will find a place at Grace that will support you as you search for God's guidance for your life."

Matt Mulder has joined us to work with us as Pastor of Preaching and Connections.
We pray for God’s blessing on us and Pastor Matt as we work together in ministry.

"In this new reality, we pray that God will keep you safe, even as you act wisely to safeguard yourselves and your loved ones.
As our Lord Jesus said,
"In this world
you will have trouble.
But take heart!
I have overcome the world!
